Got there early to a closed office, got told i was put on a later boat which was not communicated to me until then checked in and sat there with no idea how long till the boat for two hours eventually got taken to the boat at the later time boat didnt have paperwork in order so sat at the dock for 30 minutes waiting for harbour clearance boat was late so sat at Gili T waiting for 30 minutes to get more passengers boat then arrived at Padangbai and sat for another 30 minutes before landing... All up a 3 hour delay resulting in a missed connection to a plan...

Zeer goed alternatief voor het vliegtuig. Minder tijd kwijt aan het reizen tussen Lombok en Bali. Prijs verhouding is erg goed. En je ziet meer. Boten zijn erg mooi, ruim en stabiel.

The outside view!
The gasoline smell inside the cabine and the poluation made by boat. The fact that the ventilation system didn't worked or didn't even exist. For one and a half hour we were obligated to breath air with smoke and gasoline.

Nothing, worst experience ever, don’t want to go to Lombok again
I arrived for the 8am ferry around 7am, having travelled to the port for 2 hours from Kuta Lombok. Everyone was waiting to check in and they said they were waiting for the harbourmaster’s permission before being able to confirm if we can go because of the rough ocean. They confirmed that there was a 10:45am ferry leaving Sengiggi about an hour away, so some passengers shared cars down to the other harbour after the Eka Jaya employee took photos of our bookings and Whatsapped them to his colleague and phoned his boss to let him know that we were coming. Then at Sengiggi they slowly opened the check in desk at 9:45am, and they had a list of names from the day before for people who wanted a space on the ferry. We explained that the employee at Bansang port promised that we had a space on this boat and directed us to pay for a 450,000 IDR taxi to go to Sengiggi to catch it (rather than book a flight). Lost 8 hours of time, so much money and missed my Komodo trip.

The Eka Jaya staff at Sengiggi repeatedly said we should call the company we booked through, and said we were not their responsibility but the responsibility of the Eka Jaya Bangsal port team. There was an older british couple who were on the list to get the ferry because theirs was cancelled from yesterday, but the Sengiggi Eka Jaya team was insiting that they pay for a new ticket that shows the correct port even though they had been promised the same thing yesterday. So we all looked at flights and took an hour taxi to Lombok Airport for 450,000 IDR (Lombok airport is back near Kuta where I came from at 6am this morning). I trust I will be reimbursed for this in addition to the refund for the original ferry ticket, and the hotel in denpasar, my flight to komodo that i have misssed and the cancellation fee for my boat trip and hotel there.

I thought I didn't book a speedboat, because I knew those could be dangerous at sea. Nevertheless we were placed on a speedboat. Our bags were placed on top of the boat, in the rain, and were tied together with a big sheet and rope... The ride was very bumpy because of the high speed and therefore very uncomfortable en for some even scary. Also it smelled terribly like gasoline inside and the air conditionering blasted at 16 degrees most of the time. Would not recommend...
